Through an interdisciplinary conversation, topics such as heritage preservation at risk, oral archives, and virtual reality as a tool for memory will be addressed, among other strategies linked to the territory as a form of continuity and belonging. Three complementary perspectives that allow us to rethink the role of design in post-crisis contexts from a broad and critical perspective.
- Karim Yahia. Founder of VirtuaLand, he specializes in 3D digitization, open access, and cultural heritage narratives. Through his work, he preserves multilayered heritage for future generations and provides an H-BIM platform for academic research and public exploration.
- Alia Okasha. Architect and PhD from Cairo University, with over 25 years of experience. A lecturer and researcher in post-war architecture, she is the author of the award-winning book Architecture of Resistance. She collaborates with Al-Rowat for Studies and Research, focusing on oral history and the collective memory of displaced Palestinians in Egypt.
- Cristina Tannous. Palestinian landscape architect from Haifa. Her practice lies at the intersection of political landscapes and socio-spatial justice.
