On 6 July, at 6:30 pm, CosmoCaixa will host the presentation of the 2026 Barometer of the Technology Sector in Catalonia, in an event organised by the Cercle Tecnològic de Catalunya.
According to the report, the GVA of the Catalan technology sector has reached ¿9,955 million, twice as much as a decade ago, with an average annual growth rate of 4.6% between 2008 and 2024, well above the performance of the Catalan economy as a whole, which stands at 1% annually. In addition, the technology industry already represents 8.5% of Catalonia¿s GDP in terms of turnover.
The event will offer first-hand insight into the main growth prospects for the digital sector, as well as the challenges linked to the demand for technology talent.
