The Barcelona School of Building Construction (EPSEB-UPC), with the support of the UPC-HP Chair, is organising the 2nd Conference on Artificial Intelligence and BIM in the Construction Sector on 6 July, an event that will bring together professionals, companies, public administrations, researchers and students to analyse the new challenges and opportunities of the sector’s digital transformation.
Coordinated by Eloi Coloma, director of the master’s degree in BIM Management at UPC School and a researcher specialising in the digitalisation of the built environment, the conference will focus on the evolution of BIM towards data spaces, digital twins and artificial intelligence, technologies that are redefining the management of buildings and infrastructures throughout their entire life cycle.
Coloma will open the programme with a talk on the current context of the sector’s digital transformation and will present the main results of the GreenBIMxels project, an initiative aimed at promoting data spaces and digital twins in the AECO field. The session will also include demonstrations of new data-based monitoring and prediction services, as well as BIMROCKET, the open platform for digital twins and common data environments promoted by CoBIMCat.
The conference will also include a presentation of UPC’s strategy in data spaces, BIM, artificial intelligence and digital twins, a talk on HP’s solutions for the construction sector, the presentation of the award for the most innovative master’s thesis in the digitalisation of the built environment, and a final networking session.
