A conference entitled Photography and CGI will be held on 19 June at 5 p.m. at the Tech Talent Center. The general aim is to analyse the evolution of photography and computer-generated imagery (CGI) in recent years. CGI is a technique for the computerised rendering of visual information as 3D graphics, and the emphasis of the conference is on the concept, work methods and professional application of CGI in the field of photography.
Speakers at the conference include Toni Bover, coordinator of the CGI laboratory and a lecturer at the Image Processing and Multimedia Technology Center (CITM);Miquel Bigas, graduate in photography and digital media and also a lecturer at the CITM; and Enric Galve, managing director of the EGM photography laboratory and Sonimagfoto , a fair on photography and multimedia technologies that will be held from 7 to 11 October 2009 in Montjuïc, Barcelona.
